The Last Song Before The War, Screening Now on Pitchfork

After garnering attention in the Washington Post, the UT San Diego and the Cape Cod Times, we are excited to see our client, the much acclaimed film, The Last Song Before the War, streaming on Pitchfork.com today. Pitchfork is one of the most visited music sites in the world and for the next 24 hours only, the film will be streaming on their site.

The film tells the story of The Festival in the Desert, a large music festival that took place every year in Mali before Islamic Separatist waged war on the country and the culture. While the filmmakers behind The Last Song Before the War only wanted to capture the spirit of the concert, they ended up making a film that documented the last ever Festival in the Desert to happen in Mali. The film is both a tribute to the excellent music that stems from that region and also an important piece of journalism. After watching the film at Pitchfork you can purchase the DVD at the film's official website. Enjoy!
