Bring The Funk

It has been an honor for KRPR to help out with some of the details of the coming Funk Parade on Saturday, May 3rd. Organizers and DC music evangelists, Justin Rood and Chris Naoum, have put a ton of work into this thing and it's going to be an amazing day full of festivities. Funk Parade is not just a parade, it's an all-day occasion celebrating U Street and DC's musical culture and history, and includes street performers, tons of live music and of course, a Funk Parade. Check out their website at Funkparade.com and we hope to see you on U Street.

And while you're at it, get your tickets to Saturday's Kingman Island Bluegrass Festival put on by Listen Local First (also ran by Chris Naoum). The Hackinsaw Boys, who go on 6:15pm, put on one of the most fun and rowdy bluegrass shows we've ever seen.

Clients We Believe In: A Luxury We Can Afford

When we first decided to take Kendra Rubinfeld PR (KRPR) full-time, a mere 5 months ago, we made a pledge that we would only represent clients whose work we truly believed in. We knew this model was a luxury, but we hoped we could afford it. We are very pleased to announce that in fact we can afford it as over the last few months we have been working with incredibly innovative people doing fantastic work in DC, the nation and around the world. In the last two months alone we have begun work with several new clients ranging in diverse fields, from artists and musicians to local businesses to nonprofit organizations. We invite you to meet our newest clients below and see what we have been working on.
